On November 18th, PetroVietnam University (PVU) solemnly celebrated the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th. It’s a special and meaningful occasion celebrating and honoring generations of lecturers who have been contributing to the development of education in Vietnam.
The university was honored to welcome Mr. Nguyen Viet Chien – Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Long Toan Ward, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Linh – Vice Chairman of People's Committee of Long Toan Ward, Mr. Ha Anh Duc – Chief of Police of Long Toan Ward, Mr. Pham Hong Quan – Chairman of The Veterans Association of Long Toan Ward, Ba Ria City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, and Dr. Le Van Sy - Vice Rector of PV College.

The celebration was also honored to have the presence of Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh_ Party Committee Secretary, Rector; Dr. Le Quoc Phong_Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector; leaders of Faculties/Centers/Departments and all lecturers, alumni and students of the University.
At the meeting, Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh - Secretary of the Party Committee, PVU Rector gave a speech to congratulate and review the tradition of Vietnam Teachers' Day, reviewed the school year 2021-2022 journey and established the goals of the school year 2022-2023.

TS. Phan Minh Quoc Binh emphasized in his speech that in the previous school year, the school had recognized and appreciated the efforts of lecturers and departments in excellently performing their duties and joining hands to implement anti-epidemic measures to ensure safety.
As a result, the University has successfully completed the task of training and teaching regular and joint training undergraduate, and master's programs. Concerning scientific research activities, the university researchers carried out 04 state-level and group-level projects, 03 international projects, 22 grassroots and student projects, published 59 scientific articles, with 31 articles being published in prestigious international journals (ISI, Scopus). The University also exceptionally had 01 patent being registered in the US, 01 product jointly developed with enterprises to support fishermen in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province and others in the Southeast region of Vietnam. It also successfully organized short-term training and advanced training courses for 5,500 employees inside and outside the oil and gas industry, with the revenue reaching nearly VND 20 billion. Besides, the University had achieved ABET accreditation for 03 undergraduate training programs. PVU lecturers also actively participated in the preparation for domestic and international scientific conferences, participated in organizing important ceremonies and conferences of the University, especially the Opening Ceremony of the new school year in 2022 and Company Day activities in 2022.
On behalf of PVU staff and students, Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh expressed his deep gratitude to the attention of the Party Committee, Group leaders, units inside and outside the industry for all aspects of the university’s operation, creating a strong foundation, supporting PVU’s work with high results. Especially, the University deeply acknowledged the special attention of the Group’s leaders and affiliate units in sending fresh flowers to congratulate PVU teachers on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11.
Confronting the challenging road ahead, Dr. Phan Minh Quoc Binh called on all PVU lecturers’ and employees to continue to bring their strength, wisdom and love to contribute more to the education of the university and contribute to the growth of the Oil and Gas industry.
On occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11, in order to express their thoughts and express their gratitude to PVU lecturers, Tran Thi Nhung – a representative student from the class of K8 Geological Engineering gave her gratitude speech and presented flowers to congratulate PVU teachers on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11.

Student Tran Thi Nhung shared her gratitude with strong emotion: "PetroVietnam University is a place where we have 4 years of beautiful youth, become part of the common home, be guided by teachers, impart knowledge and learn how to be human. This is our happiness. I would like to express my gratitude, and appreciation to the lecturers_the silent riders who always teach and guide us not only to acquire knowledge, but also learn how to lead a kind and meaningful life. I believe that each PVU student will be more and more determined to study and practice skills to achieve the highest results, to be worthy of being student of such a university with the tradition of fire seekers".

At the ceremony, the university also presented prizes to high-achieving lecturers in the contest "Excellent PVU Lecturers 2022"; awarded a running contest with the theme "PVU - Running for health, sharing passion" and awarded a writing contest for students with the theme "Gratitude".

During the Meeting to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11, The lecturers also shared their feelings during the teaching and working process at PVU with good memories of teaching generations of PVU students and their happiness in seeing their students successfully reaching out to the wilder academia and professional world.
In addition, the guests also shared their appreciation for lecturers of PVU_ the school located in Ba Ria city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and expected that the school would spread her values more strongly so that many people would know about such special educational institution of Vietnam's oil and gas industry.

The 40th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11 of Vietnam University of PetroVietnam took place in a warm atmosphere.
