Geological Engineering
GE Labs Overview
All Geological Engineering labs are mainly used for teaching undergraduate GE courses whereas three of them, Seismic Data Processing Laboratory, Geophysical Laboratory and Petrology Laboratory, are also used for faculty and student research.
The GE Program operates 6 teaching laboratories:
1. Exhibition Laboratory of Petrology,
2. Sample Processing Laboratory,
3. Petrology Laboratory,
4. PVU-Schlumberger Office
5. Seismic Data Processing Laboratory
6. Geophysics Laboratory
G&G Seminars
Monday, 15 October 2018
G&G Club has conducted seminars presented by students majoring in Petroleum Geology – Geophysics. These seminars were completed under the guidance and advice of lecturers in the Department as well as experts in Oil and Gas Industry. The topics are various, such as sharing experience in using specialized software (e.g Petrel, IP); discussingGE students’ scientific research projects; and, sharing thoughts and concerns when they chose their major. Through those activities, GE students have the opportunity to exchange, reinforce and update their professional knowledge as well as improve their presentation and…
