Modeling and Simulation of P-Aloha, CSMA /CA and MACAW Protocols for Underwater Acoustic Channel
Monday, 14 September 2015
Abstract: Medium access control (MAC) protocol of underwater acoustic communicationnetwork is a key technologyfor underwater acousticnetworks (UANs). Most of the MAC protocolsfor wireless terrestrial communication networks have been designed with negligible propagation delay. If it is deployed directly in an underwater environment, the UANs will perform inefficiently. In this paper, the...
Effect of aluminum content on the texture and mechanical behavior of Mg–1 wt% Mn wrought magnesium alloys
Monday, 14 September 2015
The mechanical response of as-extruded magnesium–aluminum–manganese alloy with varying (1–4 wt%) aluminum content has been examined, while the concentration of manganese is kept constant at 1 wt%. Results indicated that microstructure exhibits more uniform and equiaxed grain structure, and gradual decrease of texture intensity with increasing aluminum content. Mechanical testing results revealed...
Development and study of tensile properties of aligned multi-walled carbon nanotube sheets and their composites
Monday, 14 September 2015
Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are considered as molecular-scale tubes of graphite carbon. They have attracted extensive research interest because of their extraordinary mechanical, electrical, and thermal properties. The excellent mechanical properties of CNTs make them ideal for reinforcement in high-performance composite materials. For development of high-performance CNT-reinforced composites,...
Effects of CNT diameter on mechanical properties of aligned CNT sheets and composites
Monday, 14 September 2015
Drawing, winding, and pressing techniques were used to produce horizontally aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) sheets from free-standing vertically aligned CNT arrays. The aligned CNT sheets were used to develop aligned CNT/epoxy composites through hot-melt prepreg processing with a vacuum-assisted system. Effects of CNT diameter change on the mechanical properties of aligned CNT sheets and their...
On two-parameter global bifurcation of periodic solutions to a class of differential variational inequalities with mixed data
Monday, 14 September 2015
In this paper, by using the method of integral guiding functions a multiparameter global bifurcation theorem for differential inclusions with the periodic condition is proved. It is shown how the abstract result can be applied to the study of the two-parameter global bifurcation of periodic solutions for a class of differential variational inequalities.
